This mini-course helps participants break bad news clearly but compassionately. They'll learn how to analyze the situation—understanding the bad news, how their reader will react, and what they want out of the situation. Participants will discover a formula for crafting effective bad news messages. They'll also learn how to refine tone and verb voice for clear, compassionate communication.
Explanations, examples, and videos teach key concepts, and digital activities for writing and editing help participants practice what they learn. Upon successful completion, they receive certification for 0.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
In your Library, you set up your class roster and can even brand the mini-course however you like. In class or online, you can project lessons onto a screen, lead participants through instruction and examples, and show videos. Afterward, participants complete activities, and the program grades and tracks their progress, letting you drill down to individual responses.
